Canon Powershot A620 Remote Capture Software
If you are having difficulty purchasing a PowerShot camera that supports remote capture it might be worth considering a Canon EOS DSLR and our DSLR Remote Pro for Windows software. The most recent Canon PowerShot models that can be used with PSRemote are the G10, G9, SX110 IS, SX100 IS and S5 IS.
After waiting a day with no response from Breeze customer support, I went out and bought a DVD burner so I could load the software that came with the G9. It works great, and in fact it is better than PSRemote anyways, mainly because you don't have to bring up a second window to see the live view (plus the interface is just more cool). I am a professional photographer and am working on a system to shoot elevated golf course photos with my G9. After getting the software to work, I got my system up to 20 feet. But I need 30, so back to the drawing board. Here's one of my test shots from yesterday. Talk about a useful application of remote capture! Pascal Triangle Program In Php.

It doesn't do RAW yet, because Chris Breeze hasn't received the Canon SDK for the G9, but it does do JPG. That doesn't immediately help your situation, but you might come at the problem from a different angle knowing that PSRemote works on other computers. The 20 ft limit was because the fiberglass pole flexed too much after 20 feet.
But I am suprised that you were successful linking that many USB cables together. 16 feet is supposed to be the limit without active cables (cables that repeat the signal). Michael Scott Vincent wrote: Now the tweny ft you refer to, is that limited by the length of your USB cable.
