What software did you install? Did you install the original application and driver that came with the unit? Or did you find something newer? Note that I just bought a Win 10 laptop and I'm trying to install my old SLP100 on it because the SLP100 works fine and I don't intend to spend a couple of hundred more dollars just to get a newer label printer also. I surfed over to Seiko support at and they only offer drivers for the SLP400 and SLP600. They don't even seem to have an email (or chat) so that I can contact them and searching their site for SLP100 drivers provides nothing. Grover Inductance Calculations Pdf Printer there.
