Hp Tuners File Repository
Aug 21, 2015 we all put them there for us to use, i know i have put up at least 20 so why is there a 2 credit charge to use them when they dont actually belong to hp tuners but the users of hp hp tuners, seems very unfair!!!!! EDIT, I WILL HOST AS MANY STOCK FILES ON MY SITE DETAILS TO COME.
Anyone use the tunes on the HPTuners Repository?? Specifically the one by '91 Formula' that says its a 'Predator- Performance Tune Ver.
8R06', anyone ever use this tune? I'm thinking about trying it out, i'm looking for a good starter file better than stock. Download Hp Scan Application Mac Download. Just curious how this one is. Oh and please don't waste my time posting 'you need a dyno tune' blah blah blah or 'do it yourself' blah blah blah. Unless you plan on paying for a dyno tune on my car, teaching me one on one how to use this thing, or pay for classes to use this thing don't bother posting.
Lets keep this with the subject and question at hand. I just want a little bit better tune than stock to get me.
When I throw in a cam, i'll get a real pro dyno tune, for now this will have to work. I'm currently using a tune off there for my cam (got lucky, the tune had a different intake and headers, and a ported intake mani, otherwise was the same specs), and I had another tune I grabbed before that that was similar to my mods (just intake, headers, exhaust at the time). The I/H/E tune was definitely an improvement over stock, and the cam tune at least got me up and running.

I think I still have an hpt version of the slp predator tunes, but those do not mess with anything regarding the transmission. Hell, besides adding some timing at the very top of the RPM range and making the commanded PE a little leaner they don't do much either. Transmission tuning is simple and straight forward, especially the part thorttle shift tables. There are some decent guides on hpt.com but if not I can walk you through some tuning of the transmission tables. My initial tune took a day to do, but fine tuning the transmission settings has been an ongoin battle as there's no real cut parameters, it's all on how you like to drive the car.
