Hp Nic Teaming Software 2008 R2
Aug 20, 2013 Hello Folks, I have teamed my production lan with two adapters (onboard and adapter nic) for my cluster production network (windows 2008 r2). Update Hp. Lexmark X3430 Printer Software Free Download on this page. Download Hp Laserjet 1320n Manual.
Hp Scanjet 8250 Drivers here. I currently have a Windows 2008 R2 server with 2 built in nic cards and I added a quad port nic card. I have Hyper-V running in the server and with one 2008 R2 VM running our ERP software.
The ERP vendor recommended that I assign multiple nic to the VM (teaming??) to provide more bandwidth for the ERP software. The vendor mentioned something about some software to put on the server and then going into the switch and combining the ports. The vendor was suppose to get back to me with info but never did and I think he is on vacation now. I'm dropping the server this weekend to install faster SSD's and wanted to do what ever with the networking at the same time. What is the best way to do this? Do I team the nics on the host or in the VM? Anyone have any idea of what software he was talking about?
As for the switch it's a HP 2010 procurve so I'm guessing I'm just trunking the 2 ports that newly teamed server nic ports go to. Being that this is the ERP software in a production environment I don't want to just hunt and peck at getting this right. I really don't think that the bottleneck is the network but I'm just doing everything the ERP vendor says to prove it's their software. Server2012 provides an MS solution to teaming, which is supported for hyper V and clustering. It seems 2008 only has hardware level teaming, that isn't supported by MS, as long as you don't want to any support from them then no problem. The settings will possibly be in the network card settings, rather than anywhere else.
